Changes at The Food Depot

Like most organizations, The Food Depot has evolved quite a bit over the last year. Some changes were out of necessity. Other changes we are adapting because we have big plans in the coming months.

The Food Depot will be adding several team members to help meet these big goals — ones we are excited to talk about.

Food insecurity has always been an issue in New Mexico. Many know that the state routinely makes the bottom of the list in national rankings for child wellbeing and tops the lists for senior hunger. The Food Depot wants to do more to assist northern New Mexicans — in hopes that one day those experiencing food insecurity today will no longer need the food bank tomorrow.

You’ll hear more about the “More Than Food” initiative in the next newsletter and soon here on the blog.

For now, The Food Depot team is rapidly expanding. Interested? Keep an eye on our social media channels and website for open positions. There’s a lot of work to do, and we’re excited to add to our hard-working team dedicated to solving food insecurity in northern New Mexico.
