JOB TITLE: Meal Coordinator
Temporary/Part-time- 28 Hours/Weekly

REPORTS TO: Executive Chef
SALARY RANGE: $15.00- $18.00/Hour, DOE

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a skilled Meal Coordinator. In this position, you will assist The Food Depot volunteers coordinating and organizing the meals to be delivered to children’s meal sites.

Follow the executive chef’s direction to plan daily work
Organize and clean coolers and work space; sanitize work areas and equipment, dispose of trash at end of shift daily
Label coolers with school and count
Set up and inventory the day’s repacking meals and supplies; notify executive chef of any shortages or overages, and of supplies to be ordered
Help volunteers start repacking of meals; ensure count is complete and accurate
Work with executive chef on any problems or concerns
Work with Volunteer Coordinators on set up and break down of room
Comply with food safety and sanitation guidelines
Fill in at kitchen when required
Work with warehouse to coordinate pickup and delivery of food

Requirements and Qualifications:
Availability for early morning shifts is required
Effective communication and organization skills; excellent customer service skills
Proficient in English
Adept at performing tasks well in a fast-paced environment
Able to stand continuously for long periods of time
NM Food Handlers Permit

Employment Requirements
Negative Pre-employment Drug Screening
Must be able to pass a New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department’s background check
Proof of COVID vaccinations and booster required
Clean Driving Record – New Mexico Driver’s License

Physical Environment
Primary work is in a repack/warehouse environment
Employee can be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
The employee must be able to load and unload items into and out of truck
The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts
