Schedule note: warehouse closure

The Food Depot will have a temporary closure from March 26 through April 3 to allow its staff an uninterrupted period of rest. The warehouse will reopen at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 4.

“The Food Depot values and prioritizes the well-being of its employees. The past two years have tested the food bank’s capacity and placed incredible demands and stresses on its talented and committed employees,” Jill Dixon, deputy director of The Food Depot, said.

Hunger relief services will not be interrupted during this break. This moment of rest for staff can and will be accomplished while The Food Depot remains committed to serving those in need of hunger relief. All planned distributions will be shifted or rescheduled to ensure that everyone in need has access to resources during this time. The bi-weekly food distribution at The Food Depot will be held from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Thursday, March 24, instead of March 31.

All other distribution dates in The Food Depot’s service area can be found at www.thefooddepot.org/food-assistance.

Staff will not be accessing phone messages or email during this closure.

Thank you for your continued support.
