The Food Depot’s response to dramatic increase in COVID-19 cases

The Food Depot prioritizes the health and safety of staff, volunteers and the communities it serves. With the percent positive rate in Santa Fe County currently at 17.7 percent, The Food Depot is updating its policies as of Monday, Jan. 10.

The following policies will be implemented:
•The Food Depot will be closed to the public. Only staff and volunteers will be allowed to enter the warehouse.
•Staff and volunteers will be required to wear either a surgical, KN95 or N95 mask when in common areas or shared workspaces in the building and at any food distribution.
• The Food Depot will continue to conduct business virtually whenever necessary.

The Food Depot will continue to enforce their vaccine requirements that were adopted in August 2021:
All staff and volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated. Fully vaccinated means that you have received both doses of Pfizer, Moderna, or the single dose of Johnson and Johnson and a booster shot.

Food distributions in The Food Depot’s nine county service area will continue as scheduled.
